PROFILE
1. You must have already completed a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and be completing at least a Master’s degree at the time of application. Should your studies not be divided into undergraduate and graduate stages, you must have already completed at least 3 years of full time studies at a University or equivalent institution and be in your 4th year of full time studies towards a same diploma
2. Fluency (oral and written) in English and Chinese
3. Education or any other major in the social science fields
4. Good communication skills, including writing skills
5. Strong strategic, analytical skills
6. Good computer and IT skills and experience in using office software packages
7. An awareness of the many facets of a multicultural world and a commitment to international public service are essential
8. The duration of an internship must be between four and six months, at least four days each week, full-time preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in collecting and translating documents in connection with education polities and laws, government reports, research papers and media reports
2. Assist with translation and proof-reading project documents and reports as well as coordination and implementation of projects and activities
3. Assist in coordinating the organization of seminars, workshops and events
4. Provide assistance to administrative tasks
5. Other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor

1. The aim of the internship is to give you professional experience in an international organization which relates to and supplements your studies
2. An internship affords you the opportunity to work in a multicultural, intergovernmental organization
3. UNESCO does not remunerate or pay interns. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions
4. As the internship programme is not connected with the recruitment process, the grating of an internship should not be interpreted in any way as a preliminary step towards employment at the Secretariat

2. Excellent command of English and Chinese(oral and written).
3. Good sense of teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to assigned tasks.
4. Good computer and IT skills and experience in using Office software packages. Strong strategic, analytical skills
5. Good communication skills, including writing skills.
6. Majoring in culture-related fields (heritage, art history, architecture, archaeology, tourism, etc.). Mastering one language of East Asia countries (Korean, Japanese, Mongolian, Chinese) would be an asset.
7. The duration of an internship must be between four and six months, at least four days each week, full-time preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist for Culture, the Contractor will perform the following functions:
1. Assist in the implementation of cultural projects and activities related to preservation and management of cultural and natural heritage, safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and cultural & creative industries.
2. Assist with drafting, translation, editing and proof-reading of project-related documents, speeches, press-releases and reports.
3. Provide assistance to administrative tasks including coordination & communication, preparation of culture events, documentation and filing system etc.
4.Undertake other tasks that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
