Mandarin Elementary Teacher(中文教师)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mandarin teachers at the elementary level are focused On teaching young language learners to use Mandarin in a variety of settings.
They may:
• Be involved in co-teaching with other pre-school and primary teachers
• Plan engaging circle time experiences and small group experiences within an inquiry, play-ba
• Create meaningful language opportunities for children where a love for Mandarin can be promoted
• Build warm relationships and partnerships with parents
• Share in the management of care, health, welfare and behavior of all children.
• Respect and value each child’s social, cultural and religious background and by example, shows mutual respect and tolerance.
• Maintains professional dialogue with colleagues concerning the children, other colleagues and the school.
• Work effectively in a dynamic team.
• Teach characters, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing and listening as developmentally appropriate, and how to use Mandarin for different functions (Greetings, requests, etc.)
• Assist with project-ba
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the characteristics of the primary Mandarin learner
• Plan lessons and a program of work.
• Promote awareness of Mandarin in the context of the school and community
• Be a knowledgeable point of reference for both Mandarin cultural mores and the traditions of students' countries and cultures
• Be aware of the level of development in a student's first language and how this may impact Mandarin learning
• Be aware of student's prior experiences with Mandarin and Mandarin speaking culture
• Scaffold student's learning using their prior learning in their first language
• Provide appropriate amounts of Mandarin support as students learn the language
• Provide extracurricular and in-classroom opportunities for Mandarin interaction
• Be empathetic to student emotions that surface in the learning situation
• Evaluate student's Mandarin comprehension and listening strategies, model more sophisticated strategies as students skills progress
• Write reports On students with clear formative comments and recommendations as to how to improve and feedback On assessments.
• Maintain current lesson plans, assessment data (i.e., grades), and attendance records using a defined school-sanctioned electronic interface.
• Develop materials and resources, implement, support and/or lead in the production and improvement of curriculum planning as appropriate, and undertake other academic project work as directed.
• attend academic, departmental, and school meetings when required, and attend/deliver professional development sessions as directed.
• Be aware of your responsibility to promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for/come into contact with during your employment, and be fully aware of the School Safeguarding Policy.
• Ensure a consistent and continuous focus On Pre-K and elementary pupil achievement and assessment and use appropriate data and benchmarks to set, monitor, track and evaluate individual student progress using school technology.
• Demonstrate the highest standards of professional behavior and act as an ambassador for Concordia International School both within the school and among the wider community.

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) from an accredited college/university
• Candidate must possess minimally a Degree in Education, Chinese Language Teaching, Linguistics or equivalent.
• 3 years of professional of teaching experience in primary school spanning all levels
• Working within a diverse environment of international learners and their parents
• Candidate must have a good understand of China’s MOE’s Mandarin Language curriculum
• Knowledgeable and experienced in developing curriculum and planning lessons
• Dedicated and passionate about working with children • Possess a fun-loving, energetic and bubbly disposition • Candidate should demonstrate process, management and administrative skills.

三、报名方式

2、简历初筛
简历初筛通过者,校方将在3个工作日内以电话形式通知笔试时间。
简历初筛未通过者,如果在3个工作日内未收到我校电话视为本次初筛未通过,简历将存入学校人才库,不再另行回复。
3、笔试
通过简历初筛者,学校将安排学科专业知识、教育基础知识的笔试,通过笔试后学校将以变化形式通知面试时间。
4、面试
初面:仪容谈吐、综合素养。
二面:语言应用水平、专业学科素养、课堂控制能力、教师仪容仪表、教学试讲。
终面:校长面谈,了解候选人相关情况。
